Weekly Creator Update #1 — Behind the Scenes (July 21, 2025)

Welcome to the first official weekly update.

This is where I’ll be sharing what’s actually going on behind the curtain. Not just announcements and finished work, but what I’m building in real time, what’s moving, what’s stalled, what’s evolving, and what I’m figuring out as I go.

Right now, most of the work is on the operational side. Cleaning up Patreon, tightening the release schedule, prepping the Species PDF and Earth-30 bestiary, getting content ready for the website and Discord. It’s not glamorous, but it’s necessary.

The Discord is technically ready. It has a full structure in place, with rules and discussion channels already set up. A couple announcements have gone out, and it’s live. If you want to hop in and start talking, you’re welcome to. There just isn’t a ton of content in there yet, which will change soon.

On the narrative front, Aristotle is next. It still needs a final editing pass, layout, and promo art, but it’s almost there. That story will be the first in our monthly release cycle, where one new short story goes out each month, written by a different collaborator, tied into their assigned era. The plan is to rotate through each of them for a full five-month season, then bundle those stories into a collected volume. That rhythm should give us consistent narrative releases for the next one to two years.

Meanwhile, the worldbuilding never really stops. What I’ve been focused on lately includes:

  • Deepening the Lumen Sublight Era, especially how interstellar colonization worked before FTL

  • Developing the systems of vassalage, exploration, and planetary allegiance used as the Lumens expanded

  • Getting into the structure and dynamics of the Core Galactic Sector around Earth

  • Mapping out a metaphysical concept about humanity’s inability to communicate with plants and animals, which affects all human-lineage species

  • Reworking how nuclear technology re-emerged after the Cataclysm

  • Defining new biomes and species for post-Cataclysm Earth

  • And consolidating the entire human timeline from 2800 to 7800 AD, a major cleanup effort that’s taking hours a day right now

The short version is, this is still a slow build, but the pieces are falling into place. Over the next few months, you’ll see narrative releases, supplemental PDFs, more concept art, and a growing presence on social and community platforms.

If you want the longer breakdown with a bit more context and commentary, I posted a full version over on Patreon:
