Opening the Archives: Announcing the Xenobiologist’s Field Guide

For two years, we’ve been building the foundations of a new universe. Today, we are thrilled to announce our very first product: the Xenobiologist’s Field Guide to the Lumen Universe!

This comprehensive, 59-page digital guide is your official entry point into a cosmos filled with a million years of history. It will be available for purchase this Saturday, August 16th.

What is the Field Guide?

The guide is a curated collection of professional concept art and the essential lore you’ll need to understand the key players in our galaxy. It contains:

• 18 Unique Sapient Species with full-page artwork and detailed entries.

• 11 Post-Cataclysm Earth Creatures in a complete fauna catalog.

• The Official World Map of the supercontinent UniTerra and Post Cataclysm Earth, with over 200 named locations.

A Look Inside: The Sus sapiens

To give you a taste of what’s inside, we wanted to introduce you to one of the core species from the guide: the Uplifted Swine.

The Sus sapiens were uplifted from various pig species as part of the ambitious “Project Ascendancy”. Often underestimated due to historical prejudices, they have proven themselves to be among the most intellectually capable of the uplifted species . Their society emphasizes practical intelligence, sustainable development, and resource management—traits that have made them valuable, if overlooked, partners in the expansion across the galaxy.

The First of Many

The Field Guide is the foundation. It establishes the world and its inhabitants. Following its release, our Patreon supporters will begin receiving exclusive, monthly illustrated short stories that bring these species to life. The first story, “Aristotle,” will follow the journey of one of these very Swine as he grapples with the nature of his reality.
